An entity structure is important in outlining the relationships that exist within an entity.

Setting up your entity structure, irrespective of the complexity, within Connexian allows the ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) of the entity to be identified and used to complete your application.

 

Instructions

The most common reason a user would be asked to review an entity's structure is because it is missing key information or it is a more complex entity -  for example when a company is a beneficiary of a trust. 

To manage the structure:

 

Accessing an Entity's Structure within an Investment Application

When you’re creating a new entity profile within an application,  if required you will be asked to enter in relationships that exist within your entity that are outstanding. Based on your entity type, you will be required to enter the following relationship details as below:

Company

Relationships imported from ASIC

Trust

Trustee (Corporate or Individual), Beneficiaries

Superannuation fund

Trustee (Corporate or Individual), Members

Partnership

Partners

 

You are able to manage an entity’s relationship/s within the Connexian Gateway. Follow the instructions below to make any changes to your profile's structure:

  1. Sign in to your user account in the Gateway gateway.connexian.com.au/
  2. Navigate to the Profiles tab from the menu on the left side of the window. 
  3. Select which profile you would like to edit. Select the Relationships tab within the profiles information displayed.
  4. Click the 3 vertical dots on the right side of the profile's display and select Edit Structure from the menu that appears. 
  5. Click on the head entity to display the relationship information. Click Add or Remove next to the relationship you want to modify.

  6. Select the appropriate profile type.

  7. Enter the required information into the relevant fields.

  8. Add all further relationships, as required.

If you don’t know your entity’s structure select the Invite to Edit option within Connexian. This will enable you to send an invite to a nominated party for further assistance.

 

Edit as part of the investment process 

If you need to edit your profile you can edit as part of the investment application process. 

Follow the steps below to manage an entity/s relationships and complete the entity’s profile:

1. As part of the investment process you will be arrive at the confirmation step. 

2. Click the Edit  this will open an new tab that will show you the full structure.

3. Click on the head entity to display the relationship information. Click Add next to the relationship you want to add. Click Edit next to the entity you want to Edit. 

4. Once completed select Finished in the bottom right to complete the investment process. 

 

Invited in to complete on behalf of a Connexian user

If you’ve received an email invitation to complete a profile being set up on the Connexian platform. Information in this profile is used to complete applications.

You will be required to complete all information relating to the entity you’ve been invited into.

Based on your entity type, you will be required to enter the following relationship details as below:

Follow the steps below to manage an entity/s relationships and complete the entity’s profile:

  1. Click the link within the email invitation and sign in or create a Connexian account at the login screen. You will then be automatically directed to the Profiles tab. 

  2. Select which profile you would like to edit. Select the Relationships tab within the profile information displayed.
  3. Click the 3 vertical dots on the right side of the profile's display and select Edit Structure from the menu that appears. 
  4. Click on the head entity to display the relationship information. Click Add next to the relationship you want to add.

  5. Select the appropriate profile type.

  6. Enter the required information into the relevant fields.

  7. Add all further relationships, as required.
